I rode to Portland from Eugene many moons ago… And rode the Green Tortoise back to Eugene, which was quite a cultural experience in and of itself. My parents were worried…
I grew up in Portland.
I did a three hour bike ride this weekend which included a hill up to Spencer’s Butte, and then I hiked it, which felt great. Other bicyclist passed me as I was slowly climbing fox hollow road up to Spencer’s Butte… They gave me encouragement, as they spun ahead of me with ease…
I drove to the beach yesterday, and noticed every bicyclist, and marveled at the thought of you biking up all those hills….
