Rode over another beautiful McCullough bridge, over the Rogue River.  Lovely weather this morning, in what was the calm before a huge storm.

70 mph winds forced me into another motel – clean but affordable.  A forced day of rest, catching up on writing, checking in with the restaurant.

Spent some time connecting with the locals in a cafe.  Felt good to break the wall and talk to strangers – which seemed to immediately change them into friends.

Learned more about the cyclists who were hit yesterday. Miraculously both lived, one critically injured, the other faring better.  Two women touring from Canada – http://www.katu.com/news/local/131075133.html

Good to rest today.  Ready to ride on tomorrow.
