Another chilly overcast day.  I took the back road recommended by Ianto to get to Bandon. It was a lovely country road, but added 6 miles to what was already going to be a big ride.  I made great time and rolled into Port Orford, with a grand vista of Humbug Mountain. 

Then some folks told me the state park was closed, so I had to make a quick decision.  I rode on to Gold Beach, enjoying a rocking tail wind, and a total mileage for the day which is a personal record for my touring rides. I opted for a hotel room, as I arrived after dark, and really enjoyed the spa tub!
